The Ottawa Valley Border Collie Club (OVBCC) was formed in January 1985.  The aim of the OVBCC is to promote the many talents and skills of the Border Collie not only through its traditional herding abilities but also through other activities such as agility, flyball and a variety of other dog sports.  The club organizes and participates in agility trials, herding trials, flyball tournaments and various demonstrations throughout the year.  The club also publishes a newsletter three times a year. The OVBCC relies on the initiative of it's members to participate, volunteer and to help organize the many activities that the club is involved in.

Club members are involved in many different activities.  Many are actively involved in canine performance activities such as herding, agility and flyball, but many others just enjoy spending time with other Border Collie owners going on dog walks and attending Border Collie fun days.
