OVBCC News

More and more members of the OVBCC are qualifying and attending dog sport events at the world class level. As a benefit of being a member, the OVBCC is now offering a grant to members who qualify and want to attend these world events. If you wish to apply, please complete the grant form and return it to Sheila Willis at the address indicated.

Mark your calendars! We are going to be hosting another Team Relay AAC trial this summer. Friday evening, July 25th, we will have two Starters Team Events and Saturday, July 26th we will be running three Advanced and three Masters Team Relays as well as one round of Steeplechase. You don't want to miss this fun event!

The OVBCC beginner flyball classes have begun end of May. For people new to the club, these classes are intended to provide you and your BC with an introduction to playing the game of flyball. There are at least 7 flyball teams in the city now, so if you find that you and your BC are hooked on the game there are plenty of clubs looking for dogs to add to their rosters. If you have never seen flyball played, there will be demos going on at the Sheep Shearing Festival on the May long-weekend. We are changing things up a bit this year. The classes are going to be held Monday nights at the OVBCC agility field - we will not be at the Experimental Farm. The weekly classes will run until sometime in September.
