Disc Dog, or Canine Frisbee, is a relatively new sport to this area but several of our members have jumped right in and are quickly becoming Disc Dog addicts.

For more information on the local Disc Dog scene, check out the Airborne Disc Dog Club of Ottawa.

Timmie & Dakota Competing at the 2007 Skyhoundz World Championships

Currently there are two titling classes in the Canadian Disc Dog Association:  Single Disc and Freestyle.
In Single Disc, the team is given two 1-minute rounds to make as many successful catches as possible.  In Freestyle, the team sets up a routine to music and is judged on style and required elements.

Most competitions also offer fun classes as well as Kid 'n Mutt competitions so that everyone can get involved.

The Ottawa Valley Border Collie Club hosted their first CDDA sanctioned Disc Dog trial in October 2004.  Many of our club members took home the top placements.
